Two generations of West Valley AC work.
A small, family-run West Valley AC repair shop run by the second generation of the founder's family. Diagnose, repair, stand by the work, charge a fair number. That's about it.
How Saddleback got built
Saddleback HVAC Services took over a small West Valley repair shop in 2009. The shop had been run by our founder's father out of a single truck since the late 1980s, mostly working West Valley homes and a handful of regular Sun City accounts. Nothing fancy. Same kind of work we do today: diagnose, repair, stand by the work, charge a fair number.
When the second generation took over, the shop grew a little. Four to eight techs at any given time, depending on the season. Two trucks running summer dispatch most days, three when the heat really hits. We added the night dispatch line, the written-estimate-before-the-wrench policy, and the one-year workmanship warranty on every repair. The rest of the operating style stayed the same.
Saddleback is small on purpose. The kind of repair shop where the same tech tends to come out the second time you call, where the dispatcher knows your address by your phone number, and where the invoice doesn't have surprise add-ons at the bottom. We think that's how a neighborhood service shop is supposed to work, and we've stayed that size for a reason.
Four things that show up in every repair
If you call us, here's what you can expect from the first phone call to the invoice at the end.
A live person answers
The dispatch line is staffed 24 hours a day by a real human. They tell you the diagnostic fee, the after-hours surcharge if it applies, and the expected arrival window before they send anyone. No call-back voicemail loops.
Written estimate before the work
Every repair gets a fixed price on paper before any wrench comes out. The number you see is the number on the invoice at the end. No add-ons mid-job without telling you first.
We measure before we replace
A capacitor we haven't measured doesn't get replaced. A refrigerant call doesn't end with us just adding refrigerant. We find the cause first, then we fix it.
Honest repair-versus-replace talk
Some systems are worth saving. Some aren't. We tell you which one you've got and why, with both numbers on the page, so you can decide based on the math instead of a sales pitch.
About the crew
The crew runs between four and eight technicians at any given time. Everyone on the repair side holds at minimum EPA Section 608 universal certification. New techs spend their first 90 days running alongside a senior tech before they're dispatched solo, both to learn the local housing stock and to learn how we want a service call to look from the customer's side.
We don't put specific tech names on the site. Partly because the crew rotates as the business grows, and partly because we'd rather you know what to expect from any tech who shows up rather than feel locked into one person. The dispatcher texts the tech's name and a phone number when they're on the way.
How a typical call works
Most calls start with the dispatch line at (623) 444-6988. A live person answers, asks what the unit is doing, gives you the flat diagnostic fee and the after-hours surcharge if it applies, and books the visit. Same-day dispatch is the norm in summer for calls placed before noon; calls placed late afternoon usually go next-morning unless they're emergencies.
The tech arrives in the window, walks the diagnostic tree at the equipment, identifies the failure, and writes a repair price on paper. You decide whether to proceed. If you do, most common repairs finish that same visit because the parts are on the truck. If brand-specific parts are needed from supplier stock, a return visit is scheduled, usually next-morning. The repair is documented on the invoice with the one-year workmanship warranty terms, and a copy goes to your email.
